Preparation before installation includes:

1) Check the mechanical seal models and specifications to meet the requirements of design drawings, all parts (especially the sealing surface, secondary seal) for damage, deformation, cracks and other phenomena, if the defect must be replaced or repaired.

2) Check the mechanical seals with the size of the parts, roughness, parallelism with the design requirements.

3) The use of a small spring mechanical seals, check the length and rigidity of small springs are the same.

4) Check the host shaft runout, wobble and deflection amount meets the technical requirements, the sealed chamber meets the installation size, the seal faces and the shaft is perpendicular to the general requirements: a shaft runout is not more than ± 0.5mm; axis wobble amount (rotating ring seal ring)

Not more than 0.06mm; axis maximum deflection is not more than 0.05mm; Seals and gaskets contact plane is not perpendicular to the centerline of the allowable difference of 0.03 ~ 0.05mm.

5) The installation process should be kept clean, especially the rotating ring and stationary ring seal face and secondary seal surface should be free magazine, dust. Wipe the sealing surface is not allowed with a dirty cloth.

6) Installation tools are not allowed to beat the sealing elements to prevent the seal from being damaged.
